Jenufa was the opera which finally brought him international recognition - and, with it, fame at home. This double volume contains two masterpieces of the Czech composer Leos Janacek. Here, as at the end of the final scene itself, Janaček allows the orchestra to complete what is beyond wordsin this case the Kostelnička's response to Jentifa's injunction 'God give you comfort', in an overwhelming orchestral crescendo .
